The Department of Geography and the Department of Chemistry, in collaboration with the Chemical Society and Geographical Forum of Nanda Nath Saikia College, Titabar, are pleased to announce a State-Level Essay Competition to commemorate World Water Day 2026.

The Department of Chemistry and Physics, N. N. Saikia College, in collaboration with the Department of Physics, D.C.B. Girls’ College, organized a lecture on 21 February 2026 to mark the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. The programme was held at 11:30 A.M. in the Conference Hall.
Dr. Rekha Rani Dutta, Assistant Professor at Assam Kaziranga University, delivered a talk on Sustainable Development Goal-7 (Affordable and Clean Energy). She encouraged students to pursue careers in science with confidence and highlighted the importance of women’s participation in scientific research and innovation.
The session concluded with an interactive discussion, followed by a vote of thanks. The programme proved to be informative and inspiring for the students and faculty members present.
