Nanda Nath Saikia College, Titabar, organised a Financial & Digital Literacy Programme for Women on 03 December 2025 as part of its community-oriented extension activities. The event aimed to enhance the financial awareness and digital competence of women, enabling them to participate confidently in an increasingly technology-driven society.
The programme commenced with a brief introduction to the objectives of financial inclusion and the importance of digital literacy in everyday life. Resource persons highlighted essential topics such as the use of digital banking services, UPI transactions, online safety measures, savings and investment options, and various government schemes designed to support women’s financial well-being. Demonstrations on secure digital practices and methods to identify and avoid online frauds were also provided.
Participants actively interacted during the sessions, shared their concerns, and sought clarification on practical issues related to digital payments and financial management. The session proved highly informative and encouraged women to adopt safe and effective financial habits.
The college expresses its appreciation to the organisers, faculty members, and attendees for their cooperation. Nanda Nath Saikia College remains committed to organising similar programmes that contribute to the empowerment and development of the community.
