A Teacher Exchange Programme was successfully conducted on 24th March 2026 under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between N. N. Saikia College, Titabar and Mariani College, Mariani. The initiative aimed to foster academic collaboration, encourage exchange of ideas, and promote mutual enrichment of teaching practices between the two institutions. Faculty members from the Department of Assamese, N. N. Saikia College, participated in the programme at Mariani College. Dr. Barnali Saikia, Associate Professor and Head of the Department, conducted two sessions for 6th and 4th semester students. Her lectures focused on an analytical study of the play “Aahar” and its significance in the context of Assamese drama and literature. Dr. Goutam Borah, Assistant Professor of the same department, also delivered two engaging sessions covering key topics such as “Assamese Verb Forms (Asamiya Bhasar Kriya Pod)” and “Trends and Nature of Assamese Literature (Asamiya Sahityar Gati-Prakriti)”, offering valuable academic insights to the students. Each session witnessed the participation of around 25 students, who actively engaged in discussions and interactions. The programme proved to be highly beneficial for both students and faculty, enhancing academic exposure and further strengthening the collaborative relationship between the two colleges as envisioned in the MoU.
