Science Stream was introduced in the college in the year 1972.
The Department of Zoology was born in the year 1974, under the mentorship of Shri Dibya Kamal Mazumdar (Retired).
Major (Honours) Courses started in the Department in the Year 1982.
Since its inception, the Department has been thriving for excellence in the subject and for upliftment of Zoology education among the youth of the region.
