Nanda Nath Saikia College is an apex educational institution for higher education in Titabar Sub-division of Jorhat District. The Department of Political Science is one of the prominent departments of the College. The Department of Political Science came into existence with the inception of the College in July 1959. Mr. Natarajan was the founder faculty of the Department. He was succeeded by Mr. Kamini Ranjan Baruah. The Honours course was introduced in 1976. Since then the Department has been producing a good number of honours graduates.
